A new All In LIVE! discussing EMS, virtual days and capacity issues.
It was wonderful connecting with many of you at our Student-Family conferences this week. We are continually grateful to serve this amazing community of students and families here at Estacada High School. As we look ahead to the next three weeks of school leading up to Winter Break, we will be keenly focused on supporting students to work toward meeting proficiency in their Essential Learning Standards for each course. We strive to support EHS students in their efforts to achieve high levels of academic success through tracking their data and continuing to make progress toward achieving their goals. It is important for students to attend school everyday during this time so they will have every opportunity to find success. We look for your partnership in supporting your students to attend each day. Please reach out to our front office at 503-630-8515 if you would like to talk with school staff about supporting your student with attending school.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to EHS for Student-Family conferences next Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th. In continuation of the concept we facilitated during spring conferences last year, these conferences will be an opportunity for students to talk with their families about their learning progress so far this year. This is a shift from traditional parent conferences in that students will lead the conversation with their families. The emphasis of Student-Family conferences is to support school and home connections and to foster student ownership of their learning. Teachers will be in the room and available as questions may come up, but there may also be other students and families in the room at the same time. This is to provide additional flexibility for families in scheduling to attend.
